The U16s continue to record a series of convincing wins, todays being the 5th of the season and the biggest points tally to date. The game followed similar pattern as past games with a strong first half Fleetwood performance with the majority of the play in the opposition half. Jake ran over the first try within 10 minutes and Danny followed with a second a few minutes later. The cold wind made the conversions difficult and Ollie missed two before getting the measure of the conditions. The first half finished with 6 tries and a 38 – 0 lead.
The second half was not as emphatic as Fleetwood energy levels dropped with victory looking likely. Despite this Harrison soon had try on the score board. Sefton eventually scored a converted try to get some reward from the game. Karl managed his second try which was converted by Ollie to complete scoring for the day. An prolonged stop following a Sefton injury resulted in the game fading to an end. Final score 50 – 7. A excellent win !
