Fleetwood began by playing into a strong headwind with ball in hand and showing some great attacking flair, only to be denied a try early on by a last gasp ankle tap on Zack Coultas. Fleetwood’s first try was scored by Craig Doherty after a fast flowing move by the Fleetwood backs.
Sedgeley Park continued to defend well, and it wasn’t until just before half-time that Fleetwood hit back with two tries the first from Zack Coultas and the second, which was the try of the game finished off by Danny Maher. Which was converted by Marc Maher.
At the start of the second half Sedgley came out fired up and put Fleetwood under pressure, Fleetwood responded well with some great defence, and the hard work paid off with a well taken Matt Larkin try. Fleetwood then went further ahead with a Paul Bamber try converted by Marc Maher. Sedgley then scored in the corner from a Lineout, before Zack Coultas scored his second try of the game.
Sedgley continued to press and scored a second consolation try, which was converted.
Fleetwood deservedly won 36-12 and played some exciting attacking Rugby in the process to keep a 100% record.
