Fleetwood Under-16s Celebrate Their First Ever Win
The newly formed Fleetwood RUFC Under-16s made history today, securing their first ever victory with an impressive 33–5 win away at Littleborough.
After a challenging start to the season, where results didn’t quite reflect the team’s hard work and performances, everything finally came together this weekend. The lads showed tremendous determination, teamwork, and belief — and were rewarded with the result they thoroughly deserved.
Fleetwood’s tries came from Calvin Claase (2), Eddie Greenhow, and Adrian Douglas (2), with some excellent play across the park contributing to each score.
The weather provided perfect rugby conditions, and the game was played in great spirit from both sides. The referee even took the time after the final whistle to compliment the Fleetwood players on their conduct and attitude — a testament to the culture being built within the squad.
A fantastic milestone for this new group of players and coaches — and one that promises an exciting future for the Under-16s at Fleetwood Rugby Club.
