Peter was joint Managing Director with David Appleby at A&M Seafoods since its inception in Fleetwood. His 2 sons Mark and Scott were prominent in rugby circles. Mark being a Blue at Cambridge and Scott figuring prominently in Fleetwood RUFC's team in the early 1990's and becoming Captain in 1999/2000.
Peter, originally from the North East, played at Percy Park in his younger days and continued his interest in the game through Mark and Scott. He was a keen supporter of FRUFC and one of its important and popular benefactors in the 90's.
It is ironic that his passing coincided exactly 31 years to the day of FRUFC's win in the Provincial Cup at Twickenham, in which he and others offered massive support throughout the campaign.
