Fleetwood Rugby Union Football Club is proud to announce that our newly formed Under 16s side will take to the field this season in a brand-new kit, produced in partnership with Teejac Sports. This kit carries special significance, as it has been created in memory of Signaller Paul Didsbury — a cherished member of the Fleetwood RUFC family.

Paul’s rugby journey began right here at Fleetwood, where he played his way through the mini and junior age grades. He embodied the values of commitment, teamwork, and friendship that continue to define our club. His service to both his country and his club remains an inspiration to everyone at Fleetwood RUFC.

The new U16s kit has been designed to reflect Paul’s legacy and to remind our young players of the proud traditions they represent each time they step onto the pitch. While the kit will not be made available for supporters, its meaning will be carried by every player who wears it, ensuring Paul’s name and contribution live on in the next generation.

Speaking on the launch, a club spokesperson said:
“It feels fitting that our new Under 16s, many of whom are now walking the same pathway Paul once did, will honour his memory in this way. This team represents both our future and our history, and Paul will forever be part of that story.”
